"UNCOVERED" – THE SCOOTERS UNION STORY
More than 20 years after This is Spinal Tap, the hilarious rocku-mocku-mentary about a group of rock-star wannabes, comes the Scooters Union story. Something similar… yet something entirely different.
It is an attempt to revisit the past, assess the present and hope for the future of a band it’s hard not to love, despite themselves. There was occasional violence within the band, and bad language, there’s humour, some sex, some drugs and and there’s the music. Scooters Union released just one album, “Vivid Memories of Static” and after several false-starts the band are introduced as they contemplate a reunion gig and 15 years after their debut, getting around to recording that “difficult second album”.
SOUTH JERSEY POM POMS
Along with recent music videos for Gonzo Republic and the New Loud Rockets, Rogue Productions in association with Tokyo Studio recently produced a video for The South Jersey PomPoms - Le Dernier Mot by. View it at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iV_egTCdDl0
STIMELA DOCUMENTARY
Rogue Productions is currently editing the documentary, Stimela – The Search for the Missing Chord. Working with director Marc le Chat, post-production is almost complete and a preliminary cut referred to as “ a riveting look at one of South Africa’s most important bands,” was screened at the Durban International Film Festival at the end of July 2008. The documentary chronicles the bands journey from its genesis to dazzling success, break up and make up.
LX SETH
Production was recently completed on four music videos for LX Seth, the artist whose first video, "Turn Me On" produced by Rogue a year ago, went to number one on Channel O and was flighted on various SABC channels and on international networks. LX Seth has earned himself the title of being the first Indian artist to receive an international recording deal with T -SERIES.
THE HIDDEN RECORDS
Rogue
Productions is representing authors Wayne Herschel and Birgitt Lederer’s
“The Hidden Records” in negotiations around a series of documentaries
and a proposed feature film. Wayne is an exciting new author in the field
of archaeo-astronomy and his controversial book deciphers star-maps from
a number of ancient pyramid civilisations, the records of which all appear
to include an obsession with worshipping the celestial bull of Taurus
and beings that came from the sky. The key to decoding the star maps:
A forgotten 4,000 year old coffin lid from a priestess of Hathor. The
common message encoded in all the pyramid layouts reveals the unthinkable.
